Bemerkung: Angeregt durch die Glasfenster von Marc Chagall in der Synagoge des Hadasseh-Hebrew University Medical Centres, Jerusalem. John Mac Cabe (1974): The twelve windows (which for me are masterpieces of visual art) depict the twelve sons of the patriarch Jacob, and thus the Twelve Tribes of Israel, and they pursue a chronological course from the first-born Reuben, to the youngest, Benjamin.
