Bemerkung: Allan Lawrence (2002): "Two paintings hang side by side on my wall - both abstract works but other than that, apparently quite dissimilar. One was painted by the Australian artist Yvonne Audette in 1957, the other, by the French painter Jacques Pasquier in 1990. However, juxtaposed as closely as they are, they start to reveal similarities not evident at first or even second sight. As I look at them I not only observe the internal contrasts and balances that each painter has created but I begin to notice the coincidental similarities between the two. These thoughts have given rise to the idea for the current piece. Zu den Titeln der Bilder vermerkte der Komponist:: "The Pasquier work is titled 'Paysage', while the Audette is titled 'Back into Space No. II', and is marked 1957 and signed on the back mount by the artist" (mail an Verf. vom 01. 08. 2026). Im Jahr 2005 bearbeitete Lawrence das Werk für Klarinette, Violine, Viola und Violoncello.
