Die Komponistin wurde zu diesem Werk durch folgende drei GemĂ€lde inspiriert: Claude Monet, Impression, soleil levant; George Seurat, Un dimanche aprĂšs-midi Ă  l'Île de la Grande Jatte; Vincent van Gogh, Straße mit Zypresse und Stern.
